This is one of the most important things a buyer needs to know in order to make an informed decision. While most of our bags are already authenticated twice before we purchase them, we do authenticate them again in-house to foster customer loyalty and trust!
How are our customers protected?
When we buy our bags through third parties or individual sellers, we ensure that they already have authentication forms. To be more specific, when we purchase from sites like Poshmark, Vestiare, or Facebook Handbag groups, the bags listed on these sites are authenticated virtually at the time of listing. Some of these sites will authenticate the bags once more prior to shipment to the buyer. Many of these platforms have an in-house authenticator that inspects each bag prior to reaching our hands- but that is not enough!
Additionally, we have a in-house authenticator that administers a secondary authentication inspection in person. Our in-house authenticator has 10 years of experience in the handbag resale industry. She has worked for major Brands like Chanel and Dior. She has been A Authenticator for Fashionphile for 3 years. In order for someone to be an authenticator they must have worked with handbags for a minimum of 6460 hours.
It’s pretty easy to spot a fake bag, especially with years and hours of experience in handbag resale. However, we want to triple check, as fakes can be quite convincing for certain handbag models! In fact, we try to stay away from those styles. We feel that if it can be easily knocked off, then maybe it isn’t the most unique piece for us to invest in!
